Holiday
Greetings to All!!!!
It's our annual Christmas Party
and meeting.
We'll feature demos, a potluck,
and the buy/sell/trade/give of things
you don't need any longer.
!Diane
and Gary are co-hosts for this meeting. As long time supporters
and leaders of this club, we're excited to see what they have planned
and so hope Santa and his helper will come as they have in the past
to make our meeting extra special.
3 As some
have asked: YES, we will have the potluck again. Please bring a dish
to share and if you have some meat, bring some along, too. Since I
don't know how much is in the treasury, it's hard to commit to a big
meat purchase.
4 To
supplement the demos Diane and Gary bring, we're asking everyone to
bring a couple of their favorite websites to show at the meeting.
We'll have a projector setup so that you can show why you like them.
Naturally, should you know of sites to avoid, share those too.
5 Don't
forget to invite those you believe could enjoy our user group. The
are so many people of all ages who know so little and could learn so
much about computers by attending our meetings. Let's get them
involved at our party and then convince them to join. Yes, that means
computer guru's too. They need to have a place where they can share
their expertise and grow the computing community!
6 Remember
to carpool when possible. Those who live a ways away might be
concerned with inclement weather and hazardous driving. Help them by
offering to carpool. Not only is there safety in numbers, but it
makes the drive a lot more enjoyable (Christmas Carols, brainstorming
on how to grown KRVCUG, etc.). This also works for new people you
invite.
7 Don't
forget to bring the buy/sell/trade/give — things you no longer
need. Fight waste and share with those who could actually use the
products/software.
Well,
now that we've addressed the magical 7 things to make your Christmas
meeting special, it's time to part with a hearty ho! ho! Ho!!!!
Merry Christmas!
Your Pres.& V.P.
Kris & Paul
